None of us here would ever think of you as a killer of embryos.. You are a very strong willed and determined man and we here at BYC have a lot of respect for you for trying to overcome the issues in your country.. You are honestly trying to give these chicks a chance and we would never see it any other way.. There are plenty of people here who have hatched chicks under the strangest of conditions and then there are those who have the temp and humidity perfect the entire time and for whatever reason, have only 1 or 2 hatch for them.. We never know what the future holds but even if only one chick or duckling hatches, you cannot fail at this unless you give up.. Be strong Mulia and we will be here for you the entire time sending our energy well wishes to you!!

thank you so much terri, i have candle my duck and this is my last candle because i'm not going to candle it anymore till it hatch. i see 1 is okay but slow moving now and 1 other is quite silent, maybe they'll not make it.

i just testing to make an incubator using a card box from cigarette carton, i have a shop so it's so easy to have this card box (is that true that that thing is called card box or carton?)

my duck inside eggs, this is the latest time i will candle her/him. i hope he/she fine in there.

i'm afraid he/she won't make it....

i just don't want to left them killed by this power outages country and CO2 produced everyday for them by kerosene lamp.

i still testing my card box bator. is that you called that thing in english? card box?


i'm can't handle them all together when power outages happen, i'm thinking that the card box/card board made one is large enough to really support kerosene lamp safely.

Hey Mulia.. Yes.. We in the US call it cardboard.. And as for the eggs, it is very difficult to see in the pic but I definitely see *SOMETHING*!!! How many more days til the duck are due to hatch?

today just its 18th days, so i think it will 10 days anymore, OMG, that's still long time again, i can't wait.

but why people say it need 28 days? in my country, people use to mix chicken and duck eggs then "store" it below the broody hen and they always mix the same time or just 1 day different. if they take 28 days then all the ducks eggs will fail cause the broody hen will left them and go on with her chicks, won't her?

grrr, power outages just happen 5 minutes ago, but power back again in 4 minutes, i hate it will ruin my duck eggs and my laptop.

i just wondering where the country hide my tax with this power failure happen everyday.

i live halfway up the east coast of australia.. not too far from you but no way near as hot or humid.. our hen gets up and down from the eggs one or two times a day so im guessing that your temp should be ok. surely a few degrees difference wont make that much of a difference.

it took more than 8 hours to go to australia from medan. and the ticket price is very2 "wow" i heard since i haven't go to there.

yes, but i'm afraid of my stupidity they would get killed.

even with this power outages make it harder to make them stay "tuned".

i do appreciate your support and thank you so much for wishing luckiness for my hatching, sometimes i think i should buy oxygen pump or give them "artificial breath" (don't laugh please) when the power outages happen because they every breathed air is fulfilled by CO2.

hope everything alright there.

i'm now at 21st days of incubate duck eggs, only 2 left now, i don't want to candle them anymore, they will feel "ill" if i always candle them.

i just hope they are all right in there. in two days (yesterday and today) they have been getting more than 40 deg C (perhaps 105 deg in Fahrenheit). that is caused by power failure, i use flame and always fluctuating, hahhhhhhhhh, i do hope they will fine, they have to survive one more week on this power outages country (if only i can bribe my girls to be broody i will do it.

).


my chicken egg worse more, they have to struggle another 2 weeks against this power failure country. they breath CO2 everyday.

i can imagine how is it breathing CO2 everyday inside a room

latest update : although suffering hard power outages full of CO2 in bator, 2 duck eggs still alive!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can't wait it so i candle it again.

3 chicken eggs failed, 2 infertile, 1 blood ring. left 26 now.

edit again: feel so much sorry to wegotchickens. i'm ungrateful that don't even know what's happen to someone that has been helping me so much since my eggs were laid till the time close to its hatch date. i hope you will be given power to face all of this.

oh, i'm ungrateful one, i read on newspaper today that fire happen in US and 2 firefighter lost but i don't even send prayer for anyone in this forum although i know that most BYC er are in US.

oh, i feel so much sorry for this, i can't said any word to "relieve" my mistake, i hope that them rest in peace and all of their family being given power to "accept" this.




i'm really really sorry if i have wrong word or "rude" or "annoying" word, this is a hard problem to me to find the right word since this is about the one that we love that have gone forever. i'm really sorry for this. i'm sending prayer to all that RIP.
