yes, i've learn from many BYC er and you now to put marbles and i'm too sure POD won't drown since he can swim

here we are, latest updates :

situation inside bator., all chicks have been secured.

POD is now too big for the brooder

, i will need to make a bigger special brooder for him

eah...... two little chicks, hatched yesterday so need to be fed now and drink. put on different brooder since they tried to peck newest hatched chicks today.

ew, i've too many boxes now inside my house for brooder.

can't mix them, they'll fight.

and the only thing that i fear the most now is power outages on critical latest hatch now.

i have now 7 in brooder, still have 15 eggs inside bator.

huh............. that's a long time to wait for the remaining. i am very afraid that many won't hatched.

Considering you had so many issues, I think 7 chicks is definitely something to celebrate!

How can you stand to be at school and away from all your babies?

No matter what, you now know you CAN do this hatching thing, and you will get better with practice and experience.

When the newer chicks get stronger you can probably combine them. I'd move the 2 older ones into the brooder box that the young ones have been living in. That way the territory is not 'theirs' and maybe they will play nice with the younger set.
Unless those chickens you are hatching are very aggressive

If so, I don't know what will work. You sure have a lot of lit-up boxes!

thank you wegothchickens, i have been ordering a dozen of *village chicken* eggs if possible to be provided on 25 sept, i'll take the gamble again with power outages.

i still searching for small bulb fixture that can fit *tail lamp*. i can't find it here. that will help much if i can find them out.

thank you for helping and giving much suggestion and advice for me, that is very useful and i do appreciate everything you've gave.

ups, i don't want but i need to go to campus since we have rule that if we didn't come up to 75% present, we can't get examination.

that's why i must go although that's hard to leave them alone without *living thermostat* (that's me).

OMG, they're so cute although i can't kill my disappointing that they're arabic chicken that weak at all than village one.

Seems to me that mating a good layer with a hardier (healthier) breed would get you some good results. Don't know what they'd look like, though.

Mulia could you please describe the differences between what you call arabic chicken that are weak and the stronger village one? And could you put pics of them on here? I would love to see them.

Anymore babies since your last update? I will take pics of mine soon and put them here for you to see. I loaned my camera and it hasn't been returned yet.

That's great news Mulia, that you have so many hatched, now. That's not bad, especially considering all the obstacles you've had to deal with.
