@ yeolebroodie : thank you for helping though i'm not feeling so good "taking" any "bucks" through sending goods.

@ wegotchickens : thank you also for helping but same with another i don't feel good to make you all "waste" the money for postage service.

hope there will be no misunderstanding due to my bad english. i do appreciate any help, since it will make you all spend money to it, i don't "feel to good". hope you all understand what i mean.

then, thanks to frenchblackcopper, since it will "burden" you with money to send it across ocean, i think that it will not be appropriate if i also make another people get "in charge" with it, so maybe we could just think another else, hope you can understand what i mean without i have to tell the fully one. thank you.

how about if i just keep stuck on mine or i can build another styrofoam made since i've buy it and you all can help me with suggestion and advice also it would be good if someone can help teach me how to make DIY home made inverter since i've got the electrical diagram from internet but i can't understand any little about the picture.

thanks again and godspeed.

That you aren't looking for any help other than this is why we want to help.

But will respect your wishes ALWAYS!

Sadly, electricity is still a mystery to me, so I can't help you with your inverter. I can look at the diagram but it would make me go

Hope everything goes well with your eggs! Just wondering though (maybe this has already been explained) why you can't let the hens hatch the eggs themselves?

@ xoxoanny : my hen lay her eggs on wet soil/dirt ground. i have been trying to "persuade" her to lay on nest box i've made by "introducing" her to the nest box, but, when she want to lay, she always take a "look" at my nest box but, after entering it and do usual habit like if hen want to lay "clawing" the nest box. she decided to left it, this is almost the 10th times she refuse to use it. that's why i decided to use incubator, since if we just let her lay and then sitting those eggs on dirt/wet soil, i do believe there will be no eggs hatch, i think another agree with me, don't they? another reason is i love to learn new thing, first time i know BYC is when i'm looking in internet how to hatch those egg without using hen, then i met instructable and BYC. very useful site, then i joined BYC and now i'm. i learn much from BYC to make incubator and all about hatching eggs, with very many people in BYC that i can't one by one their name helped me and give me valuable and useful information so i learn and making incubator , i'm "confused" and want to know how did the "white oval calcium made thing" can turn into feathered creature.

i love them so much.

@ wegotchickens : thank you very much, i feel being "cherished(if i don't misunderstand and forget the meaning)" . i always appreciate all your help. but i also didn't want to make you in "burden" to help covering any cost. i hope that my decision won't make you got "ill feel" and angry ( mulia is a very ungrateful "creature", i've trying to help but he refuse to be helped, what a hard headed man)
big_smile.png
. just kidding. i hope you still want to help me in case i get trouble even after i refused that. oh, i just stop working about 1 hour ago and when i was seeing my bator, it was 39,4 deg, would it kill my duckling inside? i'm feeling bad now. thank you.

Hi mulia--I am so glad you're still on this. It's going to be a long 21 days, but hopefully with a big reward at the end.

You may still be okay. People have had higher spikes than that (for other Celsius-challenged readers like me, an online converter says that 39.4 degrees equals 103 degrees Fahrenheit) and the babies were fine. It depends a lot on how long they were at that temp. If it were me, and I don't know that this is the best thing, but I would take them out and let them cool for 10 minutes or so before putting them back in. The temperature that matters isn't the one in the incubator--it's the one in the center of the egg. So if it wasn't too hot for long, the eggs may not have gotten all that hot.

I don't think your spike was that severe--hopefully they'll be fine. Candle them again in a couple days and see how things are in there.

And yes, "cherished" is the right word for what you mean.

I think everyone here is really hoping you will be successful. I think everyone here is very fond of you.

At least, I am, even though I only know you through these forums.

I'll be checking in with you.

Mulia, If you are against us making you a better insulated incubation box, would it help you more if we could send you a thermostat to help better control your heat? If you have a battery that can be attached to a charger so voltage is high enough when you do have a power outage,to keep your heat light source on until power is restored,,it is so easy to correctly and constantly keep the same temperature with a wafer thermostat.
I read your concerns and some issues such as uninterrupted power are beyond your control. But building you a very well insulated incubation box from left over materials that I considered as scraps,or waste and then sending to you once completed can greatly help you maintain a more constant temprature,as well as contain humidity levels.
From what I read your two biggest obstacles are power interruptions and not being able to control a constant, steady temprature. A very well insulated box still will lose contained heat over time, and a thermostat will only control tempratures when electricity is present, but by just being able to better control these two variables during incubation can greatly increase the number of hatched eggs you will get at 21 days.

I think this is one of the best threads I have read in a while. It is great how everyone is thinking together to come up with workable solutions for mulia.

Mulia - I hope that you are successful and if you are not, then I hope you try again. This has been a great learning experience for many people that read this thread even if they do not respond on it in anyway.
