Dang it, our camera is not comunicating with the computer ever since it broke down, and I wanted to post some nice pics of my newest additions....... Oh well, gotta do it with old pics that I have uploaded on photobucket until the camera and computer are on speaking terms again......
*edit* - my camera and PC are communicating again!! So I replaced the scans with the much more dedailed shots from the Digicam, so here are some pics of my newest addition, my new Silver Pheasant!

A male ruffed Grouse that was in my care for a short while. He was hit by a car, the person who found it brought him to me. Sadly his injuries were terrible and many, he died of internal trauma 2 days after I got him........ very feisty little bird though. Wanted to keep ruffed grouse ever since having this guy but haven't been able to aquire any as of yet :

A wild Merriams Tom, named Little J, he and the rest of his flock used to visit and stay with us every winter ever since his ancestors were released here 40+ yrs ago. As of 2006 the hunting of wild turkeys has been allowed on our side of the river tho and of the whole flock which at times numbered 60+ birds I have only sighted 1 hen in the past 2 yrs..... Little J, Big J and Limper(3 brothers that have been with this flock for 8 yrs) I have neither heard or seen since '06.

I had forgotten all about these ducks that visited me about a month ago. They are black-bellied whistling ?tree? ducks.

First pic is of them landing on my electric pole after circling the yard a few times (and freaking out all the chickens

These pics are of them bathing in the ancient duck pool after deciding it was OK

This was the last pic I was able to get before they got tired of me stalking them and flew off. They were eating some of the chicken feed scattered on the ground
