If you have a game camera - how do you secure it?

I ask because the one I came with has a teensy little plastic loop on it for a padlock. Doesn't exactly seem to be very secure IMO, and there's not really any other way to tie it securely.

Just wonderin if anyone had a suggestion.

I believe that a HUMAN stole my chicks, so I have to LOCK the camera up. No bungee cords are gonna work for me. Just seems to me like you could break the lock off the plastic loops and take the camera if you really wanted to. That's why I asked how everyone else secures theirs.

Never had one, but if I did, would secure mine with woven-wire cable and swages. The perp would need a really good wire cutter to steal it. If he is a chicken-thief, then he probably already has a pair of those as tools of the trade. Another trick is to disguise cam inside of a fake bird feeder or bird house. Mount the cam where it is too high to readily reach. Better yet put it at face level inside of the coop door behind a plexiglass panel to get his picture and trip loud alarm at same time. Another thing to scare scumbags away is tripits with strobe lights attached. Perp will think he is being photographed.

Purchase a driveway alarm. We have one that monitors our driveway so we know if someone is more than 1/2 way to the house. They run on batteries and the monitor is in the house. Usually deer trip it but it's nice to know when someone is driving up.

If anything walks in front of it the alarm in the house goes off. Sounds like a loud doorbell. Please make sure you have some sort of protection with you at all time inside or out. Someone is very brazen. Make a police report and call the TV station and newspapers. Let them do a story and someone might come forward that knows someone with chicks that mysteriously appeared.

I hope you get the *&^ person. Hopefully its just a snake but it doesn't sound like it.
