Gamebird given to me..What is she/he?

The one with pictures in the first post is definitely a male.

You're right, he's got a large red comb.
And crowing is also a good sign of him being male

But he's also started to grow some skinny, pointy saddle feathers (they grow from his back, just in front of the tail, and when they finish growing they will be long and hang down to both sides). Those are normal for a rooster, but not for a hen.

Also his coloring (mostly red, with a black breast) is common in roosters, but almost never happens in hens.

Thank you. It's the white patch of feathers where his tail.starts is what first got my attention. His tail started to get that black/green sheen too..and longer. No crow yet but I've been waiting. He sure is a handsome lil dude and Loves to dance and show off for me

I wish I knew. The dude just said "gamehen". I've been researching for the past month to figure out the breed so I can be proactive if needed.
I keep thinking bantam because of how mall he is. The rooster next to him in one of the pics is a week younger than he ish and bigger than him which makes me think bantam. Additionally, So sweet and docile which makes me think...surly Not a Fighter(Thank God) so I just treat him the same as the rest until he shows signs of something else.

Game roosters are known for being docile with people. That doesn’t mean they won’t be aggressive with other roosters, though.

He did buy all of the last birds from tractor supply but I looked at the Hoover hatchery site and was not able to find him.
He must be mixed with something else im guessing. Either way, he is HANDSOME and sweet and I hope he stays that way

Well then he has a better chance that the other mix will not make him as mean, since i have chicks here with a half mix of game. Seems they all get along and there a month old.

I hope so as well. I wonder what a good breed to breed him with would be? I should probably post that question in a breeding category? What would you recommend for breeding? My smallest birds are americaunas and leg horn

Any hen would work, but you wont be able to sell the chicks to people that want an egg layer, for the risk of getting a mean chicken mix.

Not true at all.

Breed him to whatever you want to OP. There is no right or wrong answer. Just market them as Barnyard Mix chicks.

Hatchery games are not as aggressive as the nice quality games. It would be fine for her to sell his offspring.

This is him at just a week old. When I was first researching the breed, the "heavy eyeliner" was a female characteristic. Named several game breeds so i waited till he grew. And....THANK YOU for the heads up on him being nice to humans but Could turn aggressive toward the other roosters. I literally assumed he would be chill toward all as he is toward me.

Ok i set down in the drive way, 1 min later my rooster was attacking the cage! I only own him, for protection, not even a hawk want to tangle with this roo.View attachment 2542137

That does not look like a game. Any rooster can be aggressive not just Gamefowl. Pretty rooster though.

He is Nice looking, i don't think you have anything to worry about! I have a chick just like this one, its a hen so i am safe.

If they get into at this age? what is going to be the outcome when there a 6 month old?
