Gamebird, turkey starter crumble for bobwhites?

Gamebird, turkey starter crumble for bobwhites? It has 24% preotein is that good enough for them to lay good eggs? they seem to peak on it for a bit but the kind of dont like it that much, could it be because the pieces are too big for them do I need to grid it for them?

Crumble should be small enough for mature birds; grind it in the blender for youngsters. They can be raised on 24% protein.

My gamebird starter is 30%. Their grower/finisher is 24 or 26.
