GAMES FOR EGGS and other fun prizes

It's up to the local people who run each 4h chapter.

They almost didn't even have a show chicken thing this year, the person running it, is doing it like the county fair, following specific rules, i.e. meat birds, everyone has to order 25 birds. etc.

Which makes it hard for people to participate who live in the city and are only allowed 4 hens and no roo's.

I was able to talk them into letting my daughter show whatever bird she wanted, since she's a clover - but we won't be doing chicken 4h, if they only do meat birds and we can't show other birds next year. We'll go to goats.

Ah, I see. I've never been involved with 4h, but had several people contact me this year for birds for 4h use.

4 females, 1 billy.
1's for sure pregnant.

I have my billy with my spanish goat, and he was mounting her last week a lot, so i'm hoping she'll get pregnant. She had a false pregnancy, I think prior to being put with him.. she was producing colostrum, but no baby.

I have 2 small girls that can breed anytime after november. I'll be putting them with the billy soon.

I've debated getting goats, my sister in law has kept goats, I think she only has one now. But I'm leaning more toward sheep. But that's still a ways away. I was gonna ask a bunch of questions, but being the Games for Eggs thread, I'll ask ya somewhere else.

Great game! I would have liked to play but I've got too much to do right now. And many of those things I knew I'd never find. No alcohol in our house!
