My 1.5 yr old african gander has been acting "off" since late Friday. Just trembling slighty, but since yesterday morning he just wants to sit. I noticed this yesterday morning, he was trembling on his feet, walking afew paces and sitting back down. stumbling into things and tripping over vegetation. Made a cocktail of save a chick and niacin, got some into him with an oral syringe and added the mix to all available water. Yesterday evening he was grazing the yard like normal, this morning trembling again.
All other geese are fine. I checked him over: no wounds, regular range of motion and hasn't lost any weight. He is eating and drinking.
I just left TSC with a new container of rooster booster electrolyte/vitamin/probiotic.
Help please?

Hi there, I would be suspicious of some sort of soft tissue or orthopedic injury to one or both legs causing this goose to not be able to walk. Did he trip over anything lately while ranging? My next guess is probably a vitamin/niacin defficency. What do you feed him? More information would probably help pinpoint a possible cause and direct you to a solution. Hoped this helps, let us know how he’s doing.
