Gander with swollen foot

My husband, who I caught yesterday leaning over the brooder and talking in a very soft childlike voice to the chicks and ducklings, is cringing at the thoughts of building two more.
When my husband walks by the geese when he knows I am paying attention, he says honk honk honk to them very sarcastically (you can almost HEAR him roll his eyes! LOL) But when he thinks I'm NOT paying attention, he talks to them very affectionately with a silly stupid grin on his face! I think he just doesn't want me to know how much he likes them, for fear of me getting more! Silly boys!

That is it exactly Alaskan Dragonfly. They wouldn't be ours if they weren't great with animals. Over the years my husband has had to put up with a lot of "rescues", some of which he has initiated.

But they don't want to seem too soft. LOL.

My husband still wants to buy chicken from the butcher as he can't eat any of our pets. LOL (I am vegetarian otherwise I am sure I would be the same.)

Yesterday he asked me how big geese got.......maybe I have him convinced to build a house after all.

I would like to report that my larger duckling "Fat Albert" honked at me tonight as I was putting them in for the evening. They had been in the play area for a couple of hours in the sun and I would walk by every 15-30 mins and talk to them. They love Edaname beans by the way. LOL. When I went to get them to put them back in "She???" came running to side of pen, thought I had more peas and started honking. I hope that means one girl so far. LOL

Me too AD I have a splinter under my nail so I'll try this baking soda method today. since it's under the nail though not sure if it will work. My son is building me a goose house and he has all the walls done now just have to put it together and of course windows, doors and paint. I'll post pics when done, but that's how I managed to get a splinter under my nail. ouch. and RG I didn't try the flash light because I was able to see something without it but I will know what to do now if I need to.

You know, my husband told me that the I Phones now have an app that you can do X-ray with. It costs 99 cents. I know sweetie boy Sammie is on the mend and that's all that matters. I am so happy to know that. For those of us without I Phones though, we have the light technique. Have a great night, my friend!

I remember you saying you were using some plans from Pete. Where can I find those? I am interested. Thanks!
