Hi all, I’ve looked through some previous threads with not much help unfortunately. I live in southern Ontario Canada and think one of my young hens I just rescued has gape worm. She is stretching her neck out, mouth open shaking her head mostly at night. She is eating and drinking normally and not acting sick. We love her so much and she seems to want to be an indoor chicken and runs inside our house every chance she gets and LOVES to cuddle. I want to get this take care of right away but cannot find treatment or answers ANYWHERE. I’ve called all the local feed stores with no luck, can’t purchase safe guard here... anyone from Ontario have some advice. Looking for info on regular deworming as well. What do you use?

Much more likely that she has a respiratory diseases than gapeworm.

How long have you had her?

I have had her about 5 weeks. She is outside all day roaming and in a cage at night in the house because the older hens all beat her up. I finally found a vet to see her Saturday.
