Gapeworm or Stomach Lining????

Can anyone please help me determine what this is in my hens pooh??? I dread the thought of it being gapeworm! But if it is, can anyone tell me what to administer to my hens to get rid of it please. These things are getting bigger! I am getting a little frantic at the thought of my chickens being sick. If gapeworm...how did they get it and how do I treat it? Thanks to anyone and all for your expertise! I am the Newbie Crazy Chicken Lady.

I'm sorry you are having trouble.

How old is your hen?
How long have you had her?

Were you able to take a poop sample to your vet for testing of worms and cocci?

What symptoms are you seeing that makes you suspect Gapeworm? Is your hen lethargic, coughing, gasping, shaking her head, having difficulty breathing, gurgling, choking, etc.?

If you have a vet that can perform a fecal float test to check for worms and cocci that would be best.

It's hard to know what's going on, it could be intestinal shedding, Cocci or possibly due to worms (like roundworms, tapeworms).

Gapeworms are very small and infest the trachea, bronchial passages and lungs. You would see symptoms similar to respiratory illness.

Oh ok...no their breathing is fine. No symptoms really except for the unusual red stuff in their pooh. My hens are 8 mths old now. I did take a sample but wanted to get you guys expertise before paying a vet bill. There is nothing going on in the trachea at all. They all eat well, very active, and laying daily. Thank you so much for getting back to me. So appreciated as I was becoming very concerned over their health. God Bless!
