Gapeworms----Treatment?

The valbazen was recommended because it kills all types of worms, and is the safest of the off label wormers for first time use. There are links under my post about worming and de-licing. The meds that you can get at the stores are for big animals. There is dosing info in the links. Unfortunately there are no wormers at stores specifically for chickens except the kinds that only kill roundworms. Hope this helps! :)

Here is a video of my girl
You may want to post your girl's case separate, if you haven't already. There is a chance that it may be something other than gape... I am worried because she is not shaking her head, and i thought that was the main symptom, other than the gaped beak. If you post a new link, with this video, it may get looked at by more people. I am rooting for you and your girl... she's very pretty.

I sent the video to the vet and she thinks it is gapeworm. She gave her panacur. Hopefully it works, but I am really upset because there is nothing I can do for her until the meds kick in.

I'm glad they helped you after all. I'm sure it won't take long!

She is doing much better today. She is still doing the weird coughing neck thing, but she isnt crying as much when she does it.

Now to figure out what to do about the coop... Not sure how to clean it or what insecticide to use on it. Of course now I am paranoid that all my girls have it. The vet suggested that I dont worm them all just yet.
