Gardening for Old Folks (Adaptative)

Looks like a Christmas card! Sorry about your weather!
It has gotten way worse, and tomorrow, :thanother 18 inches. It's really horrible for April. I can barely get out to my sheds to feed my critters.

If you squint you can see my garden boxes out there buried under about 3 feet of snow. Drifts are as high as my head(5 feet) in places, and still more is coming. Guess no gardening today.

Huh????? Gotta check the weather.

Looks like we're scheduled for freezing rain in morning, noon and afternoon. I'm scheduled to work. Given that forecast, I will be staying home. Hubby will be taking 4WD and hoping to miss it. I wish he'd stay home, and if it's started when he gets up, he just may.

Batten down the hatches. Freezing rain is no better. My husband has had to work all weekend because of this snow. We couldn't survive without 4WD here either.

I really hate to see him go to work when the roads are bad. He has an hour commute each way. Thankfully, I work per diem, and my boss knows that if roads are not good, I stay home. Last time I worked with storm coming, I got to work ok, but coming home, the roads were like a bottle. My little road is 1/2 way down a gentle hill that is about a mile long. I could not stop to make the left hand turn. I skidded all the way to the bottom of the hill, where thankfully there is a turn around. I was able to turn around and make it back up the hill to make the RIGHT hand turn!
