Gardening for Old Folks (Adaptative)

No!! not ready for frost and snow yet.

much news here.
Annie did hit a deer Saturday night.
pushed the grill in, but only cosmetic '

damage. deer didn't fare as well.
Any part of the deer salvageable?

Wow, lucky. Usually there is plenty of sheet metal damage. I imagine Annie is OK other than the complete shock of hitting an animal she didn't see jump in front of her.

Oh, we both saw it. but it was in a spot where the brush was almost up to the road. she braked hard and almost got the car stopped.
you know what those deer do? They hear you coming, and they watch you approach, then at the last second they flee in the direction they are facing, which is usually toward the road.
we did not try to salvage it. it was late at night , I was tired and it takes the county mounties forever to respond to a deer collision. being as it was so warm, it would have been a race to get it skinned and cooled off.

I lost most of mine to voles this year. Had a partial one last month that was delicious. This one is from a volunteer plant.
So you cant be all that mad at those VOLES.. Look to the future,,, There will be Volunteer Plants next year :highfive: ,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I'm killing voles as fast as I can. There is an infestation here. They have been getting worse ever since I started killing skunks.
