Gold Nugget tomato plant

This plant has become so thick that it is difficult to find the ripe tomatoes hiding in it.

Jealous of fresh tomatoes in March, sure do miss that taste. Are they as sweet? Years that it doesn't get quite so hot around here the tomatoes aren't as sweet, so I was wondering how house tomatoes are.

I finally have started some seeds, some short skinnies and an orange thyme. Working on some Marigolds today. I decided to start a few instead of buy everything. The gardener in me won't let me off so easy.

What kind of blueberries do you have??? I'm looking for the wild type that are all blue inside, rather than the regular kind that grow on 5 foot high bushes.
My only option right now is to travel 450 miles to a friends area and dig some up in the adjacent forest.

I started 12 years ago with some Bluecrop highbush and have been cutting, rooting and planting suckers ever since. Very tasty and prolific variety but doesn't sound like what you are looking for.

It depends on the tomato. The Gold Nugget tomato in particular does very well potted. It is the only tomato that not only blooms but sets fruit in the 100°F+ temperatures that my greenhouse sees daily in the summer. It is my opinion that the use of azomite brings out the sweetest, best taste and best texture in any kind of tomatoes. These got their dose of azomite when they were transplanted. The plant got too big for the house and without the sub zero temperatures anymore it is doing fine in the greenhouse. Nighttime temperatures have gotten into the mid 30s.

The plant is going through a gallon of water daily.

DH & I completed another bed over the weekend. Put in my cardboard & leaves and he put in a couple buckets of top soil. I worked in some compost and peat moss today to loosen it up. I have a wheel barrow full of chicken compost to add, but since it's going to rain over the next couple of days, I'll add it later.

I was soooooo worried about my tomatoes not sprouting.... I have volunteer in between the net pots.Wonder what seed I dropped.

ETA: all my tomatoes have now sprouted... including the volunteer.
