I've heard peppers take FOREVER. Around here you have to start them in February even though you don't put them in the ground until after Memorial Day.
With seeds packaged for the current year, these normally germinate in just under two weeks. These King Arthur peppers are a cool weather plant and do very well in the early season and in the fall. In the hottest part of the summer they stop producing. I plant the seed inside during the middle of March to have nice big plants already in bloom for planting outside the first of June.
 
I grew asparagus from root sets for the first time this year and have a couple of questions. The plants are still very green after the first few frosts. Are they evergreen? Do you ever cut down the existing fronds when they get mature enough to harvest the spring shoots/spears or just harvest new shoots in the spring around the older fronds? Thanks.

sorry i don't grow asparagus but mil did many years ago, she kept harvesting til the weather started turning warm,then let them go to fronds, the little ones she just let go to the fronds so it would feed the roots and make them larger every year til they were big enough to harvest:idunno

Once the temperatures get low enough the tops will die off and turn brown. After the tops die, I mow them off.
 
I cut mine back after a hard freeze.
