My pepper plants have been doing well. I have harvested 5 bell peppers from one plant with another ready to be picked.

My Gold Nugget tomato plant has also started providing ripe tomatoes.

I'm assuming that these are in a green house or else you know some kind of magic! :lau
I'm very jealous either way.

The magic is that they are in my living room in front of my walk out bay window and under an 8' fluorescent light fixture with 2 LED daylight bulbs rated at 6500K on a timer to be on for 13 hours a day.

I don't normally start any seeds until March other than a couple of pepper and a tomato in December. Last spring I planted old pepper seeds and tomato seeds that never came up. I left the non germinated seeds in a water tray with other seeds that were germinating. The pepper seeds started germinating 2 to 3 months after they were planted. The tomato seed also germinated 3 months after being planted. It was far too late to transplant them to the garden so I potted them and brought them into the house. If not for that, I would still be a couple of months away from having ripe tomatoes and peppers.

wow, that's a while to germinate, i've had some late start but never like that, but then who knows what goes on, i had tomato's come up in the garden last spring that volunteered that never had before, i didn't know what kind they were so let about ten to twelve grow, turns out they were my peach tomatoes, our pigs sure liked them but so did we, they did better than the ones i started in the greenhouse:) i like a mild acid tomato

Looks like a Sungold. I wonder what the differences are. Does the Gold Nugget split as easily as the Sungold?
I have never planted Sun Gold so cannot say. Gold Nugget is an open pollinated determinate variety that grows well in a pot. It is the only tomato plant that I have found that will not only bloom but also set and produce tomatoes in the 100°F plus temperatures that occur in my greenhouse in the summer.

If not kept sufficiently watered while fruiting followed by heavy amounts of water, they can split but if moisture level is constantly maintained, splitting is not a problem.

One difference is that Sun Gold is sold as an F1 hybrid while Gold Nugget is an open pollinated variety that breeds true.

Have no Idea what this weed is :gig Purchase it last Spring from Walmart in a 2 inch pot for maybe 99 cents. Transferred it to the current pot for outdoor growing all summer. It grew to about half the size currently seen. In the autumn, took it indoors, for over-winter. Never bloomed any flowers all summer . Now it gave a nice surprise. :love

I enjoy my indoor plants during the outdoor dormant winter months.

I took in all of my potted geraniums and they are wintering over in the utility room. They did die back somewhat. (they always did this each year in storage)
I think I may have heard them speak to me. :gig:lau
They were saying,,,,,,,,,," WE CANT WAIT UNTIL SPRING ARRIVES":wee
Many of the pots lasted around 5 years.
