good morning, the sun was out until 8AM. I hope it comes back.
33F first time above freezing for a week.. in the morning, usually gets up to the high 3o's / low 4o's later in the day.
I was thinking about all the new people starting out with chickens. I am thinking that this fall/winter there will be lots of chickens for sale/ once the people find out that chickens in the winter are not so much fun/ might be a good time to pick up some laying pullets for next year.
The chicken aren't fun sales have already started here. I have seen a couple 4wk old with tiny brooder on local FB chicken groups.
Meanwhile people are still standing in line waiting for the PO delivery at Big box farm stores.

Received my organic bug control.

Where did you get these? If I could order these to be delivered after frost date like plants, I'm in! Wow so cool!
eBay

If you try to get them delivered after frost date, you will most likely get duds.

In the wild, the egg cases survive all winter fine. I get mine early and stick them around places outside and let them hatch naturally.

we are having unusually warm weather. it is supposed to last for over another week. that should put us past the last frost date. I am gambling that the frost is over. I got all four of the raised beds hauled to the sunny spot, have peas, beans, 8 jalapeno peppers, 4 green bell peppers planted in the beds. I have 5 tomatoes planted in
5 gal pails,. just have buttercup squash left to plant.
