Gas vs Electric Range

Anyone knows WHY we have to have two large burners and two small burners? Most of the time we put our pots and pans and skillets closest to us. It would be nice just to have all equal sized burners even you would lose heat on the outside of your pan but pain in the tush to switch around.

A duel fuel, now, I'm thinking, I hope it will be the wave of the future since we don't have to worry about power outages or uneven cooking!

if you are using 2 large or small pots or pans at the same time????? I saw at a big box store where there are some with 5 and 6 burners, also they had one model (electric) where there where 4 burners all the same size (sealed top) but they where set up to use a set of small coils and a set of large ones around them it was set up where you could turn it on as a "small" or "large" burner.

Hey Bruce! Wolf makes a combination stove top and griddle/grill option. Gotta love a Wolf"
Thanks Melinda. Never heard of them but will keep it in mind. The oven in the '32 is pretty small :)

Also gas fed furnance, NO electric!
Unless you want the heat to GO somewhere. Probably need electricity to start it as well. But, not hard to connect to a generator since the draw for the fan or water pump is pretty small.
