Gasping chick???

Hi, we just hatched out about 17 chicks yesterday. One of them is extending its neck and gasping. It acts completely healthy otherwise with great energy. None of the other chicks are doing it either. Anyone have any idea whats wrong?

It may have gotten something stuck in its throat. Are they on pine shavings? Nothing wrong with that, but they do sometimes eat some of them. I'd try giving it a bit of bread with a little vegetable oil oil on it. Be sure your brooder hets enough fresh air to keep the area free of the dust and dander they create.

They aren't on sawdust yet. They are on paper towels and are in a very clean dust free environment.
