gasping when excited- holding wings out- help!?!

Came home today to Ina seeming very alert and having made a large mess in her crate- which I took as a sign she was active...
She also tried to eat my finger when I tried to take out her dishes to clean the pen! I have Invermectin, but the pour-on kind, so I chose to give her the Valbazen again (i did some research, and others on the site say it is effective for gapes)
I'm still using the sulmet in her water in case this is respiritory. She does seem improved- hoping tomorrow gets even better! Maybe I just woke her up too early this morning!

Can giving two meds at once for two different things be harmful? I don't want to OD her trying to make her better

I'm not sure about that. I have never had to do that before. Maybe someone else on the list would know

That would be nice- doesn't seem like too many people chiming in though

She looked better this morning than she did yesterday morning. A little wheezy, but no open mouthed breathing!

Mixing those 2 meds is fine. I would give a shot of vitamins though in the water. If it is gape worms you can see them by looking down the throat. There are a whole host of respiratory ailments that fit your description and most are treatable by antibiotics.

Good luck w/ looking down their throats!
I still hold my opinion on gapeworms. Is there any discharge from the eyes or nostrils?
An URI would have these signs. JMHO

What's a URI... oh wait... upper resp infection??? haha- just had to think about it.
No discharge from anywhere- she is a non-leaky chicken

just wheezy and gasping- but not so much gasping anymore.

I'll be checking on her tonight around 8 (another long day at work) and her "daddy" is coming home tonight, so I'll finally have some help holding her and giving her a butt cut and otherwise examining every square inch of her. I'm sure she'll love that!
Updates to come! Thanks so much for everyone's advice!

She looks VERY healthy! She's not holding her wings out anymore either, is she? She doesn't look like a chicken that has an URI. Oh, and yes, you were right about the URI
