Gassy puppy

Thanks for all the input. I'll keep feeding him Taste of the Wild, as I think it will give him a good start. Wish I could afford to feed it to all my dogs, but the GP alone is supposed to get 6-7 cups/day! Everyone else seems to be fine with their chicken and rice stuff! I did, however, start giving everyone a fish oil gelcap every day to keep their skin, joints, and brains healthy. Everyone except the pom in my avitar - he refuses to investigate the beneficial properties of fish oil

I don't know if they truly eat that much of the good quality food. You might be pleasently surprised.
I read the same "feeding instructions" (AFFCO recommended amounts) on the back of TOTW cat food as Purina cat food --- but I can tell you that the cats eat about half as much of the good quality stuff.

I think Gritstar feeds her large GSDs TOTW food so she might be able to chime in on how much of it they ACTUALLY eat. (I raw feed my dogs, they get TOTW when we travel though, especially if we have a petsitter)

LOL, the fish oil may cause some unwelcome fumes too!

Ewww...hadn't thought of that, but I take the same supplement and haven't noticed any changes...

The Taste of the Wild is about $29/35 lbs. The Chicken/rice stuff (Costco) is $22/40lbs. Turns out to be a significant difference on a limited income (and whose isn't?).
Again, thanks for the input!
