Gathering Eggs

Is it ok to take eggs while your ducks are around?
My cayuga laid her first eggs
She was fine with me grabbing them but when i started to walk out of the run she got a little anxious.
Would it be better to gather the eggs when shes out foraging or would it cause mistrust if they just dissapeared?
Maybe Im overthinking this but i want a happy duck

I have had to stick my hand under mine and taken the egg out from under them. Only when mine are brooding do they get upset. Other wise the egg means nothing to them.

I like how I can walk out of the coop with an egg in my hand lean down so everyone can see they will walk over to see if I have a treat. When they see an egg they just turn an walk away. lol
