G'day from down under

Welcome! Sounds like an amazing family! Would love to hear what you grow. Chick is so cute, good luck with those momma hens!
G'day.

We've just been here four months now and because we didn't know the area and weather so much, we planted FIVE zucchini plants. So even though we're growing a lot of things I feel like a zucchini farmer. 😂

Let's go down the line : lady fingers, zucchini, capsicum, broccoli, corn, green beans, tomatoes, onions, Butternut and watermelon. We had some pickling cucumbers but they were a bit close to the fence and the sheep got them when they got about hip high.

We're going quite a bit of everything in order to preserve and freeze the spoils of war so we can be a bit more self sufficient in these crazy times.

Attached is a pic or two.

Have a wonderful day.

A very good day to you mate :)

You sure have a lot of goodies growing on your farm, I mean in your garden :D
It must feel so satisfying eating your own food. Possibly all chemical free

I'm very pleased you have joined us, so I am sending you a very warm welcome too our BYC and genuinely hope to catch you soon.

G'day mates.

We're a family of three humans, one dog, four sheep, eight quails, and three chickens, no wait, four, no wait, five, no wait, six... They're hatching faster than I can type.

We live down South in Australia on five acres.

Grow enough vegetables to feed all of Victoria.

We'll for now, this is us.

Attached is photo of first chick today. One hen sat on 20 eggs for 18 days and then the other one muscled in. Half the eggs are hers after all but she loafed for 18 days. Hope they're good moms. Googled how long chick can go without food and found this website.

Have a wonderful day,
Ons3Saam
G'day! I'm in SA too! There are four hens in the backyard and we're down near the port. Are you in the hills or further off? Such a cute photo of the chick!
