geeez another temp complaint! 106 degrees!

I got up this morning, I am on day 20 of ANOTHER lone black australorp egg and the darn temp spiked again in my "hatcher" the little giant still air incubator I had borrowed/had. GRRR I candled the poor egg and was sure I saw movement, but dang it! It reduced the humidity to 25% so I just added MORE water and had filled it yesterday and got the temp stablized, but this poor chick. I'll be surprised if it hatches. I don't hear any peeping yet.

That is why my LG sets gathering dust.....just too hard to regulate.

would 102 @40% on day 16 still be ok in my 1588 should I adjust the thermostat down a few degrees?

Since the 1588 has a fan I'd say that's a little warm. I run mine between 99-100.

You can't use a Little Giant with only 1 egg and expect it to hold temp.
With a full load of eggs all 3 of my LG's have been relatively stable.
They are far from perfect but for $40 I think they are a good deal.

In the future add full water bottles to help regulate temp.
