Hello peeps,

building my three goslings coming soon their own coop - I have read they don't like to duck their head, does this mean my adapted dog kennel will be no good? I am planning to add an autodoor but they will defo need to duck their heads to get in! If it's ok, how wide should I make it?
thanks, Resi

I have 2 geese of my own right now and they don't seem to dislike ducking their heads. They duck to go under the chicken perches in their outdoor enclosure all the time (they share it with the chickens). As for width, maybe 1.5x the width of the adult size of the geese? Or maybe twice the size. My coop door for them is probably around 1.8x their width I'd say. Just so long as it isn't a tight fit for an adult goose, it should be okay!
