Geese eggs

My mom got really nervous about the eggs and she decided to break them one was rotten and two others had goslings in them it is on its 28th day but it does not look ready. There is no food sack or what ever you call it so I am wondering what to do if I should just leave it or do something with it.

If no egg sack then it must be ready to hatch. leave it under mom unless you have a bator to put them in. But I have to say if mom opened and they are no ready veins etc they may not make it. Why didn't ya'll candle, much easier way for finding out whats going on with out risking losing any lives. It is all the way out of the shell?

I think ours should start moving and shaking soon. Mama goose is not letting me anywhere near her, so I have been unable to candle our eggs. I think she has 8 or 9 eggs - really difficult to tell. When I try to go near the area she is in the gander takes off after me! Not worth getting attacked by him, so I will just wait and see what happens!

The two have sadly died but we candles the5 we have left and 3 out of five had babies one is hatching as we speak and have heard nothing from the other two. So excited

I am very excited for you. keep us updated and candle those last 2 eggs you may have internal pips.

you mean if you candle? have you listened if they have internally pipped you'll hear peeping. and if you candle you'll see dipped air cell .
