ANYTHING to get in the water!

They tend to sleep in their little roasting pan. We have a lot of different things for them to get in, so they don't fight over water. But that one is a favorite, definitely.

They are all gorgeous pics.
I had to take the last geese I rescued to a farm. I drive by every so oftern and Mango honks and comes running when she sees me. She still remembers after a year...... of course I often have a treat for her when she reaches the fence- but it always makes me smile to see her happy on the farm where she now lives.

Geese are funny!! I had Christmas Dinner with over 25 guests. My sister in law is NOT a farm girl at all. After dinner was all cleaned up my 13 year old daughter let the dog outside and when she did 2 of my Geese came running in the house. One ran right over my sister in laws feet I thought she was going to die. I wish I had a carmera to take a picture of her face she was mortified. So after catching the geese that were running though the house all I could think of saying is that a lot of people have Goose for dinner on Christmas. It was so funny!!! My geese are very tame I raised them from eggs. No one was in danger.

Mine make me smile and laugh all the time. I have a girl named Wheezie who loves to sit on my feet. She's done it since a she was a tiny gosling. The thing that really makes me smile is that she talks to herself. When she was a baby I was worried something was wrong with her because she'd make this funny wheezing noise, but as she grew older, it was more of a crooning. She just wanders around sort of muttering under her breath and sits on my feet, closes her eyes and croons herself to sleep. It's adorable! Her mate is one of my favorite males. I can't wait for Wheezie and JR babies!

I can't stop smiling when I see, or hear them. I only have 2 lovelies, Duckie and Darcy

They follow me like I'm their mother, when I crouch down and say come here babies, they come running heads stretched high talking to me. If I get too far away they fly to get to me quicker.

I used to smile when i would candle them and see little wigglers in the eggs..I'm a sap for babies, but geese have won me over. By far the sweetest birds I have ever owned!
