I have a male and female African geese. She has 7 eggs and is still laying. How do I check if they are even fertile? Do I need to wait until she sits on them? I have no clue if they have been fertilized and when I candled them they just look like big eggs to me. Should I let nature just take its course?

You can break one open to see if there is a bullseye showing that the egg has been fertilized or you can incubate the eggs to see if they start to develop, otherwise you can just wait for your goose to start sitting and see if she hatches any babies!

I have never seen them mate. I'm pretty sure I have a male and a female. I tried to vent sex them and am still unsure. Especially now that my gander is sitting on eggs.

I'm fairly certain that this isy female
