I am new to the forum and new to raising chickens! I got 6 chicks on 4-16-2012 ( Patriots Day in new England) I named the chicks after Patriots.
2 Rhode Island Reds "Betsy" (as in Ross) and "Clara" (as in Barton)
2 Barred Plymouth Rocks "May" and "Flower"
2 Black Stars "Sammi" (as in Adams, cause they make wicked good beer) and "Martha" ( as in Washington) first lady of America.

4 days later their wings growing, and they are all healthy and happy. Tomorrow their tail feathers look like they will form.
