Yes. She's the black variety, but in the sun she is stunning. I'm sure the chicks in the background were a major clue. Her comb and wattles are still pale since she has 2 week-old chicks.

Yes. ChickenLover200 guessed correctly. She is the Black variety of a Blue Laced Red Wyandotte. Her comb and wattles are still fairly pale because she's still raising chicks.

Here's one. The bird was about a year old when this picture was taken. This bird is a bantam, but the breed comes in large fowl and bantam both.

Yes, we had a good time! We actually go up to northern Michigan to hunt mushrooms every spring, so this is what we were doing. The weather was alright, we woke up to some surprise snow on Sunday though!
