Hints here:
are a rare and lovely autosexing breed originating in Germany. Autosexing means the birds have great homesteading potential, because you can distinguish pullets from cockerels at hatch by the color or pattern of down on the chicks. In the case of this breed, the males have a distinct white spot on their heads. But they have more than that going for them! They lay good numbers of extra large brown eggs...
