Hi,
Hoping you could help me figure out the breed and gender. The first one ehich is black amd white we hatched from an egg, I remember her saying it was a leghorn? Is it a hen or a roo?
Next is our bantam amd silkie, I don't know how to determine of they are hens or roosters!!
And last is the buff orphington, I think it's a hen?
Thanks for your help!

1st chicken looks like a mixed breed and looks like a cockerel. The plume on the head makes me thing that legbar is on the parentage, but I wonder where the feathered legs are coming from?

2nd chicken is a pullet, not sure of breed

3rd, Silkies are hard to tell, but there are a couple folks on here that I have seen do it.

4th, that looks like a buff orpington. What is the age? It is looking more like a cockerel at this moment.

Did you buy some hatching eggs from a farm?

Not a best with silkies but the others look like hens.
The first looks like it is a barred rock cross.
The next looks like a porcelain d'uccle Bantam.

The silkie looks to be a hen how old is it?
Oh I wonder if the 1st is a barred rock silkie cross? That would give the feathered legs as well as the fluffy feathers on its head.

The buffcould be a rooster. Kinda hard to tell. How old are they?

Yes we bought a dozen mixed eggs from someone, we only had 4 hatch. They are all just over 2 months old.
