Gender and Breed?

Thats what i was told they were. But they are two different shades so i was questioning it.

maybe they come in different shades. I have RIR that are changing as they mature... Maybe Buffs do the same

The hatchery or pet quality Orps can range in shades from very light to really dark gold.

They might be roos - How old are they? The one in the back looks like it is getting its wattles.

I have 2 New Hampshire pullets I got as Orchlens farm store 1 is bigger and darker than the other. The little one has been laying for nearly 3 weeks now. I think she is a production strain ( maybe a newcomer strain see cackle hatchery web page). The bigger one has not laid yet I think she may be an original strain because she looks more like a meat bird. (just theory).
