Gender check lavender Orpington

I don't think her comb is any longer than my Blue or my Lavender Orp. They're 7mo and it's abundantly clear they're pullets.

3 months versus 7 months is a completely different ballgame. By the age of OP's pretty Orp, pullets aren't yet coming into lay. Not to mention the fact we're talking about a notoriously slow-developing breed here. I suppose it's possible this is a FAST maturing pullet, but seems pretty unlikely to me.

The chicks have a coop to themselves, but they currently prefer to sleep in the nesting boxes :/ I'll have to close them off once it gets a little warmer out and before they start laying, surprisingly "she" is the only one I've found using the perch but never during the night

Looks like her “sleeping arrangement” is causing the unkempt look. Good idea to block off the boxes and break her of this habit.

I blocked off the boxes but instead of using the perch s/he likes to sleep on the floor :| I've been going out after they go to bed and putting her on the perch hoping it will learn, but here's a week 14 update still holding out hope for a pullet tell me if I need different angles. thank you for opponions ahead of time about the same size as the three I have of the same age (different breeds)

We have a stumper on our hands. Looking back at pictures of my own Orps, it's entirely possible this is pullet.....or a cockerel who's taking a little longer to develop.

Haha darn I'm hoping for a pullet of course, I wouldn't of even thought it's a roo based on looks (I've never had orps) but it likes to step on the other chicks I'm not sure if that's a rooster characteristic or if it's just a dominance thing but only one of the other 8 do it and they mostly do it to each other. My other rooster shows no interest in it but he only seems to like two of the chicks so far, and of course they're the tiniest ones

The OP's lavender is a pullet.

The Buff just posted is also a pullet, an early developer.
