Taking pictures tonight, but anything for comparison greatly appreciated. I was told all pullets, but then the guy ( today, 5 days later) tells me they were actually straight run when I called him a few minutes ago. I had already figured as much, by the way the wings are developing. To my very untrained eye, I think I have 7 of one 9 of the other, I just cannot tell which is which. There are 9 chicks with shorter wing feathers less developed feathers, that are longer at the ends, and shorter inside. The other 7 have longer feathers, which seem to be straight across ( all the same length) basically, their wings look fuller and more developed. They were all hatched at the same time.
As far as color, they were supposedly BLR - but today he admitted he lost track of who was who and he isn't sure. So they could be silver, gold, or blue... He isn't sure. Grrr. Any kind of comparison pictures will be so appreciated, both colors and gender. Thanks!

Wow, sounds like a mess!

How old are they? I can't tell by feathers, but I'm also not too good at Wyandottes. I usually wait until I can see the waddles, that tips me off that it's a roo. I am noticing, though, with my EE who has a black laced wyandotte dad, that the lacing is not even all over, leading me to believe it's a roo.

Colorwise, it's pretty easy to tell early on.

they are either 4 days or 5. I have noticed this, though. One group has a more "ragged" look to the wings. they are uneven and the first feather is shorter than the next 4 or 5. those chicks also have no tail feathers.
The other group has a more uniform length to the wings, and have tail feathers already.

Here are the pics, they are. I believe? 5 days old here... but not really sure now as the guy is kinda wavering on how old they are. The ones with the smaller wings also have no tail, just fluff. The ones with larger wings have tails.
These were all supposed to be blr pullets :-/

1. girl?

2 boy on left (middle chick) girl on right? chick facing away, boy?

3 boy on left, girl on right? (ignore the buff orp lol)

4 boy on left, girl on right? (i think these may be same chicks as #3, different angle...)

5girl in middle, boy on right?

6 girl in back, boy in front?

I believe they are a little young to tell right now, but there are definitely more experienced people than me, so someone might be able to tell.
