Is (he) a silver partidge?
- He was in a grow out pen with blues and splashes. Is there any way he could have came from the same stock?
( they only had white roosters and black hens on premises)
Also , do you think (he's) a rooster or hen? Something about him screams rooster (bolder , (cough-cough*hates me), larger, larger comb, stands more up right).

Despite my best attempts, I couldn't get a hatch date. I wouldn't say over 10 weeks. He hasn't attempted to crow, yet. I know, some you can't sex until 5-6 + months. This one is just really suspicious . Also , I've heard that a flat "poof/tuft"=more likely rooster. Who knows?
I am no expert, so I can't say what type of Silkie he is :bow How old is he? It is usually a while before you can sex Silkies. But rooster Silkie's usually have stringier feathers than the girls. Any attempts to crow?

Not a silver partridge. I have one that looks exactly like it hatched from blues and greys. Silver partridge look like partridge with blue undertones rather than black. Judging by the size, looks more like 3 months or a bit older.
