We have 4, 6 week old hopefully pullets we got from a family owned feed store. We have 1 Buff Orpington, 1 E.E., and 2 Blue Australorp Mix? We contacted Ideal and they said they had a wrong rooster with the

Australorps. Any help with gender would be appreciated. My wife and kids are anxious. Thank you!

Ginny looks to be the only cockerel possibility. But it could easily still be a pullet with a early growing comb

Thank you. It wouldn't surprise me if Ginny is a cockerel. She's the one that perches on the water and and bit my 85 pound golden retriever square on the nose. She hasn't gone anywhere close to the chicks since. 😆

Thanks for the replies. Would like to make sure we have 3 pullets before winter. Unfortunately, we can't keep any cockerels here. They are all so sweet, don't want to lose any of them.

Checking back on the bin mates at just over 9 weeks. Dell has sprouted. She was the smallest of the group, now a good bit larger than Ginny. With her comb color would the red show if she was cockerel? She also stands upright. Not much change in Ginny, thinking she's a pullet.
