MLyd, Português é bem diferente, e o Português do Brasil é diferente que o Português do Portugal. Mas não tenho idéia falar o Holandês!

I can imagine you speaking in Dutch to the geese. I speak in English to my geese, and the neighbours think I´m quite potty!

I make it a point that all my animals are bilingual. They respond the same whether I tell them "Get out of the garage!" Or "Quitanse de aqui!" I have long ceased to worry over what the neighbors might be thinking.

Our friends come to visit, and think the dogs will only understand English, but animals are smarter than we think!

Is Dutch the same as German? Sorry for the elementary question, but I'm serious. I am German, French Canadian, Irish and Scottish. I learned a little German in School, but that was many moons ago! LOL

Nope Dutch is a lot different to German but a few words sound the same and a lot of things sound the same.
