We have these two plymouth barred rocks which came from an Amish family just down the road from us. They are about four weeks old. They are not suppose to be hatchery stock. They breed them on their farms. I picked them out from 14 chicks they had running around. Hope I did ok in my choice! Are they both pullets?

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the help, I just received word the Amish family have just hatched bantam cochins from their stock too! I'm going to be in chicken heaven in trying to decide which ones to get!

They hatched out columbian, mille fleur, black, splash and waiting on their golden and silver laced to hatch! YESS!!!

They also said they are waiting on the d'uccle's to hatch. I know and have seen their mille' fleur d'uccles! Such beautiful birds! Chicken math time again!! They sell a lot of chickens in a town close to them. They hold small animal auctions. Most are from their own flocks. However you do have to watch because sometimes they will buy hatchery and auction those off. Most times from Ideal. Best to buy direct from them instead of the auctions.
