Gender?...Truly Stumped! 12 weeks old

Hey all! I'm new to the chicken world and my family and I are loving it and looking forward to growing our flock! Anyone want to help me out if they think they may know gender?

What's your intended use for a rooster?

To guard the "girls" and I've become quite attached to them . Is it better to not keep one? This is our first go at chickens.

As of right now....1 hahaha. That's my whole flock right now. But, ideally I would like 5 pullets. We will be getting more once the hatcher we use (a friend's small farm) knows for certain whether they are cockerels or pullets. The grey one (not sure of breeds except the NN) seems aggressive so, I think he'll definitely go.

Pick the one that stick tightest to the pullet and doesn't approach you. Overly friendly cockerel tend to turn into human aggressive roosters.
