I am usually pretty good at picking out pullets from roosters when they are young. But this new batch has me a little confused.

I bought two barred rocks that were supposed to both be pullets, but one looks like he could be a rooster. Doesn't act like one, but they look too different side by side for me not to have doubts.

I bought 2 straight run Rhode Island Reds, one I am pretty sure is a rooster, and one I am pretty sure is a hen.

The ones that really have me confused, are the 6 straight run Silver Laced Wyandottes. Most of which I am pretty sure are roosters, but these rose combs have me all messed up. Some have bright red combs (Roos), and some are dull (hens). They have been play fighting each other for weeks now, so I'm sure most of them are roosters unfortunately.

I'll post some pictures later today.

These are the two Rhode Island Reds. The one I am pretty sure is the rooster is the first one, he has been getting picked on the most by all the mean Wyandotte Roos. He's looking rough, so I will separate them today once I figure out boys from girls.

The second pic I am pretty sure is a hen.

These are the two barred rocks. The first pic is the one I think is a boy. His stripes are larger, and he is lighter colored now that you mention it. I just assumed since they are low quality hatchery chicks from TSC, they were just inconsistent colored.

The second picture I think is a girl.

The Wyandotte will be tricky to post since they all look the same. Most of them have awful personalities and fought and bit me the whole time. I definitely won't be keeping these roosters if they are already this mean at 5 weeks old.

I took pictures of two angles of each. So I will post them individually, and number them off on the post.
