I’ve been watching for some definitive saddle feathers, and maybe I’m just still holding out that he’ll be a pullet. He’s so pretty!

It is a really pretty one!!

If you look carefully, you can see a couple poking out.

Here something that would look similar, as an example.

Just take note of the saddle feathers, they are long, tapered and pointy. (And often really pretty and shiny)

May I ask why you rehomed him? He's has exceptional colors.

At the time, I already had 4 breeding roosters that had a really large size and traits I wanted in the offspring. He is a result of it as I hatched him plus, for me, black is a very dominant color, and I was hoping to get blue or at least orange/red based large roos to use. A new Roo I just began using fit my desires somewhat.

Girl BO get a distinctive pullet face by this age. That's a boy. His face is male.

He's quite late maturing.
