I agree.Oh... ok. So are you asking because you wanted to adopt it if it's a hen since you already have a rooster? Sorry for all the questions, I am just curious.
Out of experience with barred rocks/Dominique breeds this one looks like a hen. I definitely could be wrong but even the tail doesn't look curled. And the face looks more like a hen, the comb isn't too big either.
As you can see, (sorry for the photo quality) she has the dark barring and the white, which is especially wide on her wings.
Hmmm....she looks really white too. Maybe, the breeding has become a little more white than it used to be. Barred rock hens I'd seen before were more black.
You may be on the right track, and I think it really depends if the bird is breeder quality or just feedstore quality, like some other breeds of chickens.H
