It is difficult at that age, and the wings aren’t a sure fire way to sex them, but let me look it over.

If it’s little wing feathers are rounded, then there is a chance at a cockerel (male), and if it has longer wing feathers and less rounded, there is a chance at Pullet (female).

Unless one parent is slow feathering and one is fast feathering, wing feather sexing won't work.

Are you asking about wing feather bud sexing, or sexing by down color?

If down color, the parent breeding is correct.

This a sex linked breeding. I remember reading an article on this site which had a chart listing rooster and hen combinations to get red or black sex linked chicks. Does anyone know where this article is stored on this site.
