Ok folks got one for ya this chick was born 8/23/13 when it popped out it was solid black!! No other color were present. Now the mother is solid white and the father is white with some amber on his wings... now tell me how I got this heehee!! My main question is think its a young roo or young hen??

That's a male. The wing saddle shows deep red, which is a male characteristic.

Agree. It's also got a lot more red in the comb/face then an 8 or 9 week old pullet would normally have at the same age.
