Genders of my chickens

Newbie here too .... just curious when your are determining roo from pullet what do you look for ? wattles, comb, spurs, tail feathers? and at what age can you be tell?

My chicky-poos are only 18 days and when I posted a 15 pic of my biggest one most said roo because of the wattles , I didn't even know the little thing had wattles already and now that I look at it it's wattles are a little more developed then all the other 10 chicks - but that one is far more developed all around then all the others too.

All of these are 16 weeks old? some do look bigger then others ... is it always the roos that will be bigger?

BTW - these are some really nice looking chickens. Number 10 might be my favorite.

You look for stocky legs, more developed combs and wattles and when they are older you look for hackle (neck) feathers and saddle feathers. (pointy feathers hanging down in front of the tail by each wing.

Here's my cockeral and with his coloring, it makes it easy to see the hackle and saddle feathers.

Now I see it too, 7 is a boy too.
Yup, lotsa dinners there, but that ain't all bad. At least with chickens you can eat them
