Generally at what age do chickens start to mate?

I have 10 5wks olds 2 roos. Dreading the rehoming day for one of my roos what age will they start to breed?

pretty much when he crows but can be before

roos have different maturity rates

some as early as 10 weeks

some later

some very later

and some so early that they mate but the eggs wont be fertile its more testing the water


average though is about 20 weeks
