I know, its very difficult to get a picture that shows it. The reason is the very light dusting of white on one shoulder. At the time of her hatch, I had 3 breeding males, 2 India blue and one silver pied. From what I have read and what you guys have told me, the silver pied would most likely be barely noticeable with an India blue hen? If know my yearling I sold was split to pied, just didn't notice it in time. This would be his sister. I did have a blue pied but I don't think the other males would have permitted him to mate, even though at 2 he had the train of a 5 year old.
The white on her shoulder is just now manifesting at a year and half.
I didn't do record keeping so much as were all free range and my lovely eye candy.
If you find the info on cameo, I would be very interested in reading it. Thanks again for the info you've already posted. Thanks to all who helped me with my problem . The first post on this thread. Are copies of research done by a friend of mine and others. I met Richard Burger at a UPA convention about 8-10 yrs ago . Richard was a pigeon breeder "Deluxe " and as you can see was good in peafowl also... He gave me these copies of his work and I also have another one on Cameo . Sorry one of them is upside down. and small. I think they can be enlarged. If there is interest I will find the other one and post it. I think these were done in 1990-91 you can see these on line if you look up,,,, The Journal Of Heredity... vol 82 number 1 ...Jan/Feb 1991 . connerhills
